In obedience to the Instructions of Your Excellency, I have the honor to detail all the information I am in possession of relative to a certain sum of money belonging to a Convict named Brennan, referred to in Despatch No. 85 of the 12th January last from the Right Honorable, the Earl Grey.

In April 1844, I was Chief Magistrate of this Colony, when Brennan of the Police was brought before me and examined upon a charge for an unnatural crime, and he was tried at the Sessions. His Excellency S. G. Bonham, Esq. C.B., Governor
